Attorney Douglas Lee Price has maintained a full real estate closing practice for 25 years. Real Estate Closing Paralegal Bunny Harris Conine has been with Browne and Price P.A. 21 years. Ms. Conine (Bunny), who is now semi-retired, still works part-time out of the Milledgeville office. Browne and Price, P.A. began in Milledgeville GA in semi-rural East Central GA and still maintains its main office in Milledgeville located within walking distance from the courthouse.
Browne and Price P. A. also maintains it’s deep ties to the 8 rural counties within the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit including Baldwin, Putnam, Wilkinson, Jones, Jasper, Greene, Hancock and Morgan Counties. Since the recession Browne and Price P.A. now has closing offices outside of Milledgeville in Covington, Athens and metro Atlanta. Each closing office is in the law office of one of Browne and Price P.A.’s associated attorneys and each location has its own private office or conference room, fax, email and copying capabilities and a dedicate paralegal who maintains direct communication with our Milledgeville office to guarantee a smooth closing experience for all parties.
A NOTE TO INVESTORS: It is our policy not to facilitate “back to back” or “same day closings” for the same property. It is also our policy not to facilitate closings involving an “assignment of contract” where a fee in paid to the assignor.” In our opinion both of these practices enable a commission to be paid to a non-licensed realtor (aka “wholesaling.”) We choose not to participate in this area of the real estate market.
A NOTE TO TITLE COMPANIES AND OUT OF STATE LAW FIRMS: It is our policy not to facilitate the ceremonial closing involving title companies or out of state law firms seeking to be GA compliant by delegating the actual document signing and/or escrow settlement to a GA lawyer when every other aspect of the closing and the lender relationship stays under one or the other’s authority and control.
